Critical Mass started out in 2005 as a collection of employees playing music for their Diablo Canyon co-workers at various plant events and celebrations.  Most of them were already performing regularly with other bands, worship groups or theater troops.  Word got out about their repertoire and soon they were playing for the public at large.  Over the years, some members have retired, yet the musical tradition continues. Featuring a diverse pallet of instrumentation and vocals, they move seamlessly through all genres and eras of rock, pop, country and soul.  This has made them a favorite at festivals and events throughout the Central Coast.
